I have been a Professional Services Manager in Software Services and Projects Director in an SAP Implementation Partner. In both roles I had P&L responsibility, as well as people management and board-level responsibilities.
In Software Services I built a team of fifteen middleware consultants from the ground up achieving target revenue in year one (adjusted to 2019 value). I joined the SAP Implementation Partner as a consultant, became a Director in my second year, and sold the business in year three.
PROJECT AND DELIVERY MANAGEMENT
August 2017 to March 2020
I was responsible for the delivery of Product Information Management (PIM) discovery, design, development, implementation and upgrade services at clients across EMEA. This includes creating Statements of Work and Change Requests as needed. I deployed and managed individual technical specialists, as well as cross-functional teams of business analysts and technical architects, product specialists and developers. Allocation of scarce resources is negotiated amongst management and peer delivery managers. I had frequent dealings with Directors of Customer Support, and Product Development, motivating for emergency bug fixes and feature requests.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT REVIEW
June 2019 to Sept 2019
I was tasked to review the IPS MDM / PIM knowledge repositories and review content for the new Informatica Velocity knowledgebase used by our customers.
The aim was to consolidate and minimise duplication of effort in future. I defined the core set of artefacts and delivery manager activities for our smaller engagements - to maintain quality without overloading consultants with the usual compliance requirements of larger projects.
STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOUCES AND HRMS
2004 thru 2014
I was IBM’s Global HR Service Delivery Model Lead during the HRMS programme while implementing SAP HR in Africa and Latin America, and then for the pilot of Workday in the Philippines and rolling out to South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. I have studied Strategic HR Management and have been an HR Business Partner, Talent Lead, Management Development and Performance Management Lead in IBM. I was an HR Business Development Transition Manager for EMEA.
